After a perfect harvest the first wines from the 2012 vintage are ready for tasting. We are very happy with the Riesling and Pinot Gris. They are the first to be released. Both are of exceptional quality. We entered the Pinot Gris in the Astoria Seafood and Wine festival and got the Gold Medal for that wine. The Riesling got rave reviews from our club members at our Valentine's day event and so after much agonizing moments decided to send that off to Wine Spectator for a rating. To this point we have not sought out ratings from a national publication, but we are so pleased with the first wines that we are going to give it a shot. Wine Spectator does not taste or publish all wines that are submitted, so we will just have to wait and see if we get a rating. Fingers crossed! It is a big leap!
