J Wrigley Vineyards is an estate vineyard located in the McMinnville AVA of Yamhill County Oregon. McMinnville is the home of the International Pinot Noir Festival, distinguishing Yamhill County as a contender in the global marketplace for award winning wines. We, the Wrigley Family, purchased 200 acres of prime vineyard land in 2006 and planted our first Pinot Noir, Riesling and Pinot Gris vines in October of 2008. We are very excited to share this process of land preparation, planting, tending to the vines and ultimately harvesting the grapes with our family, friends and wine lovers around the world!
John has an affinity for understanding the complexity of the soils that make Oregon wines so special. Each soil type gives different characteristics to the wine. In 2010, we will roll out our J Wrigley label with a MAC Cuvee. We will hand select grapes from within the McMinnville AVA and craft a wine that is distinctive to our Coast foothills viticultural area. We will introduce our estate label in 2011. Pinot Gris and Riesling will be available for shipment approximately Memorial Day 2012. The estate Pinot Noir will be available for shipment approximatley Thanksgiving Day 2012.
Keep coming back to our site as we update the vineyard progress, share pictures of our vineyard story and provide an opportunity for you to share in the wines that make this region so special.
Warm Regards,
John, Jody, Jordan and John Hayes Wrigley
